I've had the week off for spring break, and therefore have had the opportunity to hang out with these little guys. This experience has been such a blessing for me. The excitement a kid gets just by putting on a spider man costume or singing the lyrics to a Bon Jovi song is contagious. I wish that I was still that easily amused and grabbed life by the horns, like a 5 year old. Being around kids is like therapy for me. It helps me to see the world from a whole new angle. What's so frustrating about getting older is that innocence and excitement is slowly stripped away from us and replaced with so much cynicism and the realities of this sinful World. From a child's prospective, they still have such an awe about the mysteries of life and truly think that anything is possible. (including the light saber being able to slice through the couch?)

3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Matthew 18:3-5
