I think one of the most challenging things about being a substitute teacher right now is being in all of these classrooms that are not my own. Don't get me wrong, I feel incredibly blessed to have the ability to still teach and interact with students, but there's a big part of me that aches for my own classroom and my own students for the year. I miss really developing relationships with the students and other teachers. I know this is just a season I'm in, but it doesn't take the struggle out of it.

One thing that I do, to constantly remind myself that I'm just being prepared for my own classroom, is visit thrift store libraries after I'm done subbing for the day. Let me tell ya, some of these stores have freakin jackpots on children's books! Nerdy, yes. But it really does bring me happiness. I pick out at least 5-10 books everytime for my classroom library. For my future kiddos.

So... to my future students, I'm getting ready for ya. Can't wait to finally meet ya someday.
