85 degrees. No clouds in the sky. free tickets.
.. sure, why not.... let's go to Michigans Adventures.
Growing up, I never thought that I'd be "that adult" who wouldn't want to ride Shivering Timbers 15 times in a row. I always thought my mom was crazy for wanting to spend time at the water park just relaxing and laying by the wavepool (instead of nearly drownding in the mad amount of kids trying to swim over each other to get deeper?... still just don't understand that, the lifeguards don't even let you touch the back wall.. what's the point?!?)
Point being, after spending the day at the amusement park and running around trying to keep up with the kiddos, I've realized how much of my childhood innocence and fun has been stripped away from me. dangit all. My old body just can't take it anymore. Two rides on the Thunderhawk and my head is spinning and I'm ready to take a seat in the shade for a half hour.
Don't get me wrong, I still love a good rollercoaster ride and prefer the black covered waterslide...
... I guess it just goes to show how your appreciation for things in life changes. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Where once I would kill to ride rollercoasters and eat overly priced dippin dots all day.. Now, I'd spend that money on a concert, clothes, or heck add it towards all of the college loans I still have to pay off..

That's why I love this job. It keeps me young, and helps me remember what I once loved...
